Jihadist Insurgency Conference


Shanthie Mariet D’Souza and Bibhu Prasad Routray presented a paper titled, “Jihadist Landscape in Jammu & Kashmir” at the two-day ‘Jihadist Insurgency Conference’, hosted by the Trends Research & Advisory and the International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation and Political Violence (ICSR) at the King’s College, London on 28-29 May 2015. The Conference brought together experts from around the world to explore and discuss the phenomenon of insurgency movements that are utilising the concept of Jihad to guide and justify their actions and objectives. The Conference sought to provide up to date insights and understandings of the wide range of Islamic-inspired Jihadist insurgency movements in the world, as well as investigating the methods employed by these organisations.
